Actionable insights ;-) for every organization's self-service analytics journey

A book that can be used as a valuable guide in your self-service analytics journey (yes, both for business & IT folks), that well explains all the attention points, provides tips & tricks but moreover explains what self-service is all about.
After more then 15y in the analytics business this book still helps to reflect on your own experiences and makes you adapt where needed.
I read books to learn and discover new angles on certain analytics subjects, which this book does.
Thx Greg Steffine !

A must read for management consultants

With the way data is going, more leaders and organizations are looking for faster self service ways to look at insights and make decisions. This book articulates the need and the ways to enable organizations to position for this type of thinking. I think it's a strong perspective on how to approach holistically and provides business intelligence leaders and consultants methods and tools to realize value quickly for their organizations and clients alike.

Very useful, ongoing reference for any analytics enterprise environment.

In my view, corporate adoption of self-service analytics is early stage. “Think Fast” was a quick read, chock full of revelations that drew me back to the book as a reference on multiple, topic specific re-reads. This is one of those books that keeps on giving; each time you pick it up, you get another nugget.

I would say it doesn’t matter if you are a quant, an IT veteran, or a business manager or consumer of analytic reports, having read this, you will walk away with a higher level of awareness that will improve your contribution in a collaborative environment where self-service analytics is either an ambition or an adopted practice.

For frame of reference, I work in an analytics software advisory role to industry execs and have modeling experience. I would recommend this book to organizations that want to promote a team effort among various department silos, or to individuals tasked with efficiently guiding the adoption of self-service analytics at any level really. The contributing authors within each chapter provide real world guidance that will save you money and time.

…fast read (few hours), and a useful ongoing resource.
